Our favorite time of year

Fall is a wonderful time of year.  Our students are back in the classrooms, the change of seasons brings us beautiful colors on the trees, and it's time for our annual jog-a-thon fundraiser!  Our students will spend the morning at Capital Park near the school and run, jog or walk as many laps as they can.  Parents and teachers will cheer them on as they go and it's a fun time for all.  Student are asking family and friends to sponsor them in either a per lap pledge or a flat donation.

Why support St. Joseph School?

St. Joseph School has been a leader in Catholic education in the Willamette Valley for 160 years.  We strive for academic excellence, with the foundation of faith, knowledge and virtue.  As a Leader in Me school, our students spend the first part of their day in morning prayer and then discussing their virtue or habit for the week.  These virtues and habits are helping them to develop as both Catholics and leaders, as well as shaping them to be strong contributors to their community.

As part of the larger parish community of St. Joseph, we appreciate the support of our friends and family.  During the early morning hours of August 31st, St. Joseph Parish suffered a four-alarm fire, caused by an arson attack, leaving the church badly burned (link to local news article).  While the school building was not damaged, our church is very special to us, and it is also the place where we start each day and spend our time in prayer.  Losing the church has been devastating for our parish and school community, but we are strengthened as we come together through prayer.

Thank you for your support!
